Known by his stage name RaytheNihilist,  Ray is a 23-year-old Blackfoot First Nations Hip Hop artist based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Ray began his career in after wanting something different from his earlier music endeavors. After years of being in bands & writing songs Ray became captivated with the poetic stylings found in rap and writing Hip Hop music.  Almost Four Years later Ray continues to grow as an artist now holding credits as a jack of all trades, being able to Rap, Sing, Play Various Instruments, Produce Beats, Design Artwork as well as Direct & Edit Music Videos. Ray always strives to have an extremely powerful message in most of his work and usually tries to explore a different side of human emotions more than most rappers are comfortable with by delving into topics such as depression, anxiety, loneliness and shows the vulnerability we as humans all have. His music has been described as soulful, deep, and intriguing to the listeners ears. So far in his catalog  Two Mixtapes, 3 EP & a Beattape, he plans to release his debut album in the coming year as well. After multiple stints in local collectives Ray founded Stay Royal Records. In 2020 Ray hopes to continue to grow and plans to release upcoming collaborations, singles and projects that are sure to make him an artist to watch for in Canada’s future Hip Hop Scene.
